Petr Cech made an English Premier League debut to forget for Arsenal as his errors helped West Ham United to record a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Cech's arrival from Chelsea may be acclaimed being a signing that might turn Arsenal into title contenders, but he was found wanting as Arsene Wenger's side opened the Premier League season using a home defeat to the second amount of time in three years.

Korea Republic were victorious in the Men's East Asian Cup after drawing with Korea DPR in Wuhan, China.
